it was used on a placemat to market watching sports at RickiJo's, a sports bar I once was an owner of

 

 

 

I actually got a phone call from Don Meehan a NHL Player Agent, telling me i wasn't allowed to use the image of his clients without proper compensation

 

 

 

I told him the images were my artwork and the subject matter was irrelevant.

 

 

 

In fact I told him I was portraying his clients in a positive light, celebrating a goal, something that did not occur too often on the Leafs teams of the mid 1980's and maybe they should be compensating me for marketing them in such a positive manner.

 

 

 

He laughed and said that he wouldn't bill me as long as I promised not to bill him.
